 Whether you're a fan of the game or not, you'll undoubtedly be absolutely blown away by this incre dible box set, which includes a huge (almost A4) hard backed book with about 50 pages of everything Cyberbots - Fantastic! There's also some cardboard popup thing which is lovely. Bizarrely the package doesn't come with the required 4 Meg RAM cartridge.

 Because of the sequel, you're bound to have heard of Dead or Alive! The original Tecmo arcade ran on Model 2 hardware, licensed from Sega, and in a previously unseen move, Sega gave the VF2 Saturn code to Tecmo for the home conversion. A very wise move, and lucky for Tecmo, because the game is pretty much as good looking as any other 32-Bit fighing game out there. Running at the same super high 704X480 resolution, the graphics are incredibly sharp, and again like VF2 it's all 60FPS action! Like the Saturn version of VF2, this game lacks the 3D backgrounds from it's arcade parent, but they still look great, better and more fitting with the foreground than the ones in the VF2 conversion. The gameplay is great, some say it's actually better than the awesome sequel, and there's a ton of hidden costumes, most of them skimpy and sexy! There's also a great Sony PS conversion of the game, which was released almost a year later. It featured even more costumes and extras but graphically, while excellent, was definitely inferior.

 Konami have released Twinbee titles on every format know to man (well almost) over the past 10 years and none have ever dissapointed, now Saturn play's host to the famous Konami franchise can it meet expectations?
The first game on this compilation, Twinbee looks (to be honest) very dated today, however it does has some saving graces including a fantastic 2-player mode, a dinky little soundtrack and some great stage and boss design. Detana Twinbee! is the second and looks stunning, using the same attractive super colourful design that made twinbee such a treat to play, but with new eye-popping animation and special effects added into the mix (with the entire screen manipulated in some instances) which make the game look very impressive. The only negative thing about these games has to be the difficulty, neither is hard to complete, but then again both games are supposed to bring a smile to your face, not pain to your brain! and that's really what Konami's Twinbee and Parodius titles have always been about - offering a funny, cute and sometimes exciting alternative to the more serious blasters. Saturn shooter fans and Deluxe Pack collectors really should pick this up today!

 Donpachi is a fantastic vertical shooter from Atlus, not as crazy as the sequel, but more refined, and reminiscent in some ways of Kyukyoku Tiger on the MD/PC Engine and perhaps a little of the sequel on Saturn. Unspectacular to look at, and with small bits of slowdown, but this does nothing to detract it from being one of the top and most enjoyable shooters.
Unlike the sequel, Donpachi is one of those incredibly frustrating games where it hardly ever comes in mint condition with spine. Well, here's one:

 Dracula X on Saturn is a conversion of the excellent PSOne game Dracula X : Nocturne In The Moonlight and it's a stormer, with an absolute ton of Saturn exclusive extras, including an extra playable character, new areas to explore (Garden and Prison) and loads of weapons not in the PSOne version (these are very cool). The fluid animation that made the PSOne version look so gorgeous is all present and correct, the only thing inferior in this version are some of the special effects and a couple of instances where the loading is a bit sluggish (4MB support would have been nice Konami!). Dracula X is still a superb Saturn title and fans of the series or platform/action games will want to add this to their collection, especially as it's getting pretty rare these days.
