The Japanese version of the game, which was only released in Feb. 2006 (many months after the UK version) has been largely reprogrammed by Sega Japan, which sort of explains the huge delay. Initially, we were massively disapponted that there was not going to be an Xbox version released in Japan, but we've been informed by one of our customers that the Japanese PS2 version is actually BETTER than the Xbox version, even after putting the two games side-by-side!

The Special Edition includes an OutRun 20th Anniversary Disc Music CD.
